FIRST LOOK: Next week’s Emmerdale in 10 pictures

Maya's release sends Jacob into a spin...

Next week’s Emmerdale sees Maya released from prison, Liam get arrested for assault, while Lydia receives yet more life-changing news.

Maya is released from prison

David and Leyla are worried about how to tell Jacob that Maya is being released from jail now that she’s served her time for grooming him.

The pair are terrified that Maya might try and contact Jacob, so they tell him the news and he takes it surprisingly well. But is he hiding something?

Leanna tries to be supportive, but Jacob rushes off and Leyla and David worry he has gone to see Maya.

Later Jacob apologises to Leanna and the pair share a passionate kiss…

Soon one thing leads to another and the pair sleep together for the first time, but Jacob upsets Leanna by making a hasty exit afterwards.

Later Leanna begs Bernice not to tell Liam she slept with Jacob, then takes the morning after pill, which makes her sick.

But of course Liam worries about his daughter being sick, and soon the truth about her sleeping with Jacob is revealed.

Liam is fuming and accuses Jacob of taking advantage of Leanna before punching him.

Later everyone is shocked when Liam is arrested for assault.

Lydia gets devastating news

Lydia is shocked to discover her mum, Agatha, is still alive and braces herself as she faces her past.

Agatha is keen to get to know her estranged daughter, but she also has some shocking news to tell Lydia.

Lydia discovers her dad died from Huntington’s Disease and she could have inherited the same illness.

Lydia shares the news with the rest of the Dingles, and faces the fact she could be living with the disease and not even realise.

Lydia and Sam talk about whether she should have the test to see if she has Huntington’s. Will she go through with it?

Sarah puts her life on the line

Danny and Jayden give Sarah drugs at a party and put pressure her to take them. Noah is horrified when Sarah risks her life as she swallows the pills. Will she be okay?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
